“We learnt about the Tournament Control system one day, had a 30-minute session with Simon to test it and learn how to use it the next, agreed to use it for our tournament, and then used it for a major event at our club the following week. It is an incredibly simple system that links to iSquash and saves a lot of time and effort for the tournament control team over the weekend, alongside looking fantastic and being easy to understand for the players and supporters. We had around 10 people helping with tournament control, all with a range of technology understanding, and everyone found it very easy to use and intuitive.
Simon and Nick are constantly developing the functionality as well, and we put some ideas forward over our tournament weekend that they implemented by the Sunday of the tournament!!! I would highly recommend anyone running a tournament to get in touch with Simon and start using this technology. To be honest, the future of squash starts with this sort of technology involving computers and smartphones and is only going to get more functional, to the point where we are getting live scoring whilst not at the courts. This is very exciting, so make sure your club and the players in your events do not get left behind.
